late night eat that did the job. we got the soondubu combo with galbi. both were pretty decent. the banchan wasn’t really my favorite but the man working there made my whole night. he was so kind and funny. <3
The dude working here is so chill. The food is great as well. Everything arrived timely and was hot. Definitely a great spot to be at w friends
I went out to dinner with my friend tonight. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I ordered Korean soju, and the waiter thoughtfully gave me two small glasses. I told him I didn't need them because my friend was driving and couldn't drink. He then gave me a larger glass instead. He also provided tea and water. Later, my friend had to leave in a hurry, and I hadn't even really started eating yet, so I asked for a doggy bag. The waiter was so kind, like family, telling me there were plenty of takeout containers and I could take whatever kind I wanted. He even thoughtfully told me there were bags available and gave me one, saying I could get more containers if needed. It made me feel very comfortable. It's a warm and cozy little restaurant. I really love this place.
Always stop by Ziggle for tofu stew during cold weather. The service is quick and food comes out very fast. They always serve the same side dishes and very flavorful. Kimchi leans on the sweeter side and not as spicy. Tofu stew portion is really big and rice has nice crispy bottom. Overall a staple tofu stew place if you want to eat some homey grandma cooking.
The food is served hot and delicious. They taste like authentic Korean food. The portion is big. The atmosphere is good. Suitable for friends gathering.
Dine-in with my friend , and got the following, squid combo with kimchi beef tofu with white rice (served in a metal bowl), seafood pancake, Japchae, and egg stew. I am currently overfill and really enjoy the japchae, the cucumber banchae, and the egg stew. All the wasn’t too salty and to me was delicious as it hold the food taste, maybe I was hungry and was looking for something hot and warm.
This is my favorite Korean restaurant in Murray hill. It starts with an array of banchan which is always delicious and so varied in flavor. The fish cake banchan is my favorite and the pickled veggies are always so wonderful to vary with the more rich entrees. The tofu stew is so tomato rich and it’s so comforting. I’ve tried the short rib, spicy pork, bulgogi entrees and they’re great. Spicy pork is my favorite. It’s all worth trying here and the value proposition is strong too.
Very tasty food and excellent service! We love coming for their lunch special because it’s such a great value. We also love all of the banchan (side dishes) they offer. Both the manager and waiter was very attentive so I’m not sure where the negative comments are about on their service. Definitely give it a shot when you’re craving hot soondobu!
